In this webQuest students will research and design a workout program which they feel suits them personally. Students will also research and design a personal diet that fits their personal goals. Students will use provided resources to determine what percentage of carbs, protein, fat, etc…they need to maintain a healthy diet for their height, weight, body style. Students will also research and report on the health effects of a poor/good diet and lack of exercise related to both adolescence and adulthood. Students will use resources to determine adequate amounts of water to drink for effective performance not only for exercise but for other endeavors such as academics. Lastly students will research and report on what available resources are available to them to remain healthy (physically active/diet) once they enter adulthood, and how they think they can use those to remain healthy. Once research is completed students will design a power point presentation that will include the following. Students will present their project to the class.

Product: Student is to create a power point presentation with all information listed above. Student will be asked to conduct a 8-10 minute presentation. PPT presentation slides are to include relevant information, pictures, or videos. Student must present information & power point presentation to the class. Information must be in depth; student will give appropriate credit to where information was gathered. References must be listed in APA format on the reference slide. Group work will not be accepted as this is an individual assignment. |
